Form work for surround & hearth
All done. We built a Doug Fir mantle on top.
Same house, Master Bedroom. We did a cantilevered hearth and base.
We built these concrete elements at the entry. Looks good with the slate path.
This project we did a simple surround. The forms are still up. Notice the pockets and striations in the face. This is what I love about using concrete, it always comes out unique!.
